Syria's official news agency SANA reported late on Wednesday that Israeli warplanes fired several missiles at Syrian army positions located close to the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights causing only material damage.
Earlier in the day, the Israeli Defence Force confirmed it shot down a Syrian drone which had entered its airspace.
"We won't take action against the Assad regime, and you get the Iranians out", Benjamin Netanyahu allegedly told Vladimir Putin during a meeting in Moscow on Wednesday, adding that Israel will continue to protect its border from air and land.
Iran is backing Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in the war, as is Russian Federation.
Israel has intensified its bombing of military infrastructure in Syria over the last couple of months, despite the conflict winding down, with terrorists and extremist militants controlling ever-decreasing swathes of land and so-called "moderates" joining the state-wide reconciliation process in growing numbers. The army said it will "not allow any violation of Israeli airspace and will act against any attempt to hurt our civilians".
On Sunday night, Syria said its air defense repelled an Israeli sorties against the T4 air base in Homs province, where seven Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps personnel died in an April 9 attack that Damascus and Tehran also blamed on Israel.

Israel has signalled openness to eventual ties with Assad, a tacit acknowledgement that he is re-consolidating power as he routs Syria's rebels.
