Police in NY say at least five people, including three infants, have been stabbed at an overnight day care centre in Queens.
Policy say he is the father of a child who was at the day care center. Two girls and a boy of unknown ages were cut or slashed just before 4:00 AM local time Friday morning along with an adult male and female.
The police said four other children were removed from the daycare for observation, uninjured. Though one of the adults was seriously hurt.
Authorities were called at about 3:40 a.m.to residence serving as a day care on 161st Street between 45th and 43rd Avenues in Flushing.

The suspect was taken into custody and then taken to New York-Presbyterian/Queens hospital with self-inflicted wounds.
She was found unconscious by police in the basement with a slash wound to her left wrist.
Investigators have not determined a motive for the attack.
