"Saturday Night Live" returned for its 44th season September 29 and wasted no time diving back into political sketches, with Matt Damon appearing as Brett Kavanaugh and Rachel Dratch returning as Senator Amy Klobuchar for a cold open sketch about his hearing.
"Let me tell you this", he said.
Kicking off at the point where the Supreme Court nominee arrived on the scene, it saw Hollywood star Matt Damon blustering into the room as Kavanaugh.
Damon's Kavanaugh, who was viciously drinking glasses of water and was either yelling in a blind rage or crying, said that his accuser, Christine Blasey Ford, had no real evidence.
"I went to Yale!", Damon said repeatedly as SNL re-created this week's Senate hearings. "I'm going to start at an 11".
"I'm here because of a sham perpetrated by the Clintons, George Soros, Kathy Griffin, the gay mafia and Mr. Ronan Sinatra", he said.
Jeremy Corbyn: Labour leader's speech
The Labour leader also reiterated a pledge from shadow housing minister John Healey to place a levy on those with second homes. The wording on a possible second referendum is left vague.
Plane Overshoots Runway And Ditches Into Lagoon
The accident took place at the Chuuk global airport on the Weno island of the South Pacific nation of Micronesia. The airline's earlier report stated that the P2-PXE landed short of the runway whilst landing on Chuuk Island.
Harry and Meghan to visit Brighton and Hove
Meanwhile, The Sun's royal correspondent Emily Andrews tweeted: "A princess who still takes the time to shut her auto door". Meghan Markle amazed fans after shutting her auto door, after arriving at her first solo engagement last night.
Through aggressive sniffles, Damon added, "Now I am usually an optimist, a keg is half full kind of guy, but what I've seen from the monsters on this committee makes me want to puke-and not from beer!"
The cold open also derided Kavanaugh's reliance on his calendars from high school, which had prompted the real-life judge to get emotional when presenting them to the committee. "These attractive, creepy calendars".
The crowd groaned as Damon's Kavanaugh uttered the line, "I'm not backing down bitches, I don't know the meaning of the word 'stop'".
That's the first of many, many mentions of beer. Aidy Bryant played prosecutor Rachel Mitchell and was constantly cut off by the committee. "I was the proudest, drunkest virgin you have ever seen and everyone can relate to that".
"Can I just ask, is Alyssa Milano behind me?"
Damon finished the opening act with a little warning reminding us that "if you think I'm angry now just wait until I get on that Supreme Court - because then you're all going to pay".
