Police respond to possible active shooter in Middleton

Reports say police were called after a woman was seen fleeing the scene with a gunshot wound.
Middleton is located about five miles from Madison, the state capital.
Madison College also sent out a statement: "There is no active threat on campus at this time".
Officials say the suspect in a Wisconsin workplace shooting that injured four people has died after being shot by police.
The State Journal reports that the Dane County dispatch center said shots have been fired at Esker Software in Middleton. She didn't have any other information.

Police in Wisconsin responded Wednesday to a report of an active shooter at a commercial building in a suburb of Madison. There are stores and restaurants affected.
Police and multiple ambulances have responded.
Jeff Greene, who also works at Esker, said police told those gathered in the cafeteria to go a nearby hotel to make a statement about what they saw.
Andrew King, an employee at TrafficCast, 1800 Deming Way, said he saw a man carrying a handgun inside the 1850 Deming Way building. "Avoid the area north of West Campus into Middleton".
