The Netflix series will come to an end for good with season seven in 2019 and the cast are already saying their goodbyes. The critically-acclaimed dramedy initially followed the inmates of Litchfield Minimum Security Prison, with Season 6 seeing numerous main cast move to the Maximum Security facility often mentioned in the series. The cast includes Taylor Schilling, Laura Prepon, Michael J. Harney, Michelle Hurst, Kate Mulgrew, Jason Biggs, and Taryn Manning. "The final season is coming".
The news comes soon after two other series, "House of Cards" and "Iron Fist", were canceled by Netflix.
Netflix has canceled the prison dramedy from Jenji Kohan, making the upcoming seventh season the series' swan song, the streaming service announced Wednesday. Rolling Stone's Alan Sepinwall said while season five was action-packed, it was a "chore" to get through.
"It is a season you will not forget and we are going to give you everything and more that you could have ever wanted".
