President Trump has repeatedly referred to the possible 2020 presidential contender sarcastically as "Pocahontas" including during an Oval Office event a year ago honoring Native American code talkers for their service during World War II.
"What went unreported by the networks was the fun statistic that showed that since Warren could have between 1/64th and 1/1,024th Native American DNA, it meant her mix could be below average for White people", MRC news analyst Nicholas Fondacaro wrote, adding that Cherokee Nation's condemnation of Warren's claims went unreported.
The Cherokee Nation has questioned Warren's use of a DNA test, saying such exams are useless in determining tribal citizenship.
"Pocahontas (the bad version), sometimes referred to as Elizabeth Warren, is getting slammed", Trump tweeted Tuesday morning.
"Using a DNA test to lay claim to any connection to the Cherokee Nation or any tribal nation, even vaguely, is inappropriate and wrong", he said Monday. "I respect the distinction, & don't list myself as Native in the Senate", she said.
Trump has continued to attack the MA senator and potential 2020 rival on Twitter charging Tuesday morning "that her claims of being of Indian heritage have turned out to be a scam and a lie" and saying she "should apologize for perpetrating this fraud against the American Public". If what we've just witnessed was the beginning of her presidential campaign she should come clean.

Warren's release of the DNA report on Monday was accompanied by a almost six-minute, campaign-style video that recounted her background and takes direct aim at Trump, with Warren saying his mocking of Native Americans is "not what America stands for".
Chuck Hoskin was also critical of President Trump, saying he "should not be calling her 'Pocahontas, ' but "should be looking into the needs of Indian country are because the needs are there". Hoskin accused Warren of "undermining tribal interests with her continued claims of tribal heritage".
Warren tweeted that Trump is a "cowardly elitist" and that she "won't sit quietly for Trump's racism" so she took the test. "This is not something I would enjoy doing either". He claimed that even the Cherokee Nation "denies her".
"I found this to be pretty embarrassing for her", said co-host Abby Huntsman. She also said he makes "creepy physical threats" about women who scare him, including her.
Elizabeth Warren ultimately released her DNA results in order to prove to her critics she was not lying to get ahead. "It may soothe his ego - but it won't work", Warren tweeted.
"I'll only do it if I can test her personally", he said.
