I'm not going to lie, I don't get the whole Battle Royale craze, but I'm willing to see what Apex Legends has to offer. "The world thinks we're making Titanfall 3 and we're not - this is what we're making", he said. Unfortunately, Apex Legends' developers told VG247 and Eurogamer that Titanfall 3 is not in development at this time.
While it is disappointing to hear that Titanfall 3 is not in development over at Respawn Entertainment right now, Apex Legends is already available across PC, PS4, and Xbox One and should suffice series fans for the time being. Just like the first two Titanfall games, Apex Legends will run on a modified version of Valve's Source Engine, ensuring decent performance across platforms.

Titanfall but battle royale but without the mechs: that's the word on the street about what we can expect from Apex Legends, the next game from Respawn Entertainment.
Twitter user Ben Morrow has leaked a few low-res images that appear to reveal some of the characters that you'll be able to play as in the game, in what seems like a fairly Overwatch-y setup. It's quite possible that this is just a spin-off that Respawn plans to release while it continues working on Titanfall 3.
Apex Legends does not feature titans. They chose to use the same engine they used for Titanfall and Titanfall 2, but found that the game looked rather dated. Respawn is also now working on Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Them's the breaks and, for now, it might be a smart move: the bells and whistles can come later; a smooth launch with a solid player base is the name of the game at this stage. The game should be released by the end of 2019.
