The story of how lovers Danny Zuko (John Travolta) and Sandy Olsson (Olivia Newton-John) met before they reunite at the Rydell High School in the 1978 classic rom-com is being developed for the big screen.
As fate would have it, Summer Nights could officially kill one of the longest lasting conspiracy theories about Grease. The writer is a long-time collaborator of Tim Burton, starting with the script for 2003's Big Fish and continuing on through Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Corpse Bride, and Frankenweenie.
Paramount is reportedly gearing up for a prequel to Grease, titled Summer Loving, which will assumedly work to answer age-old questions like "did you get very far?", "like does he have a vehicle?", and "did she put up a fight?"
