Walton spent three seasons as the Lakers head coach, compiling a 98-148 record in that time, according to ESPN. The former Golden State assistant never led the Lakers to the playoffs, not even after the arrival of LeBron James last summer.
Walton had been at the head coach of the Lakers since 2017.
